The install processing wasn't that easy for this time, for some people -_- . because it's still a beta, the installation is in text mode. Actually not that hard either, but...umm....you know....some people....
Ok. First installed the ATI official driver for my Radeon X800, set everything up and running.
And next thing, of course, is to install XGL and Beryl. XGL is easy, apt-get will grab it for you.
The stable build Beryl 0.14 seem not to work very well with Ubuntu 7.04, so after serval times crashing, I decided to go along with the 0.15 svn.
svn co svn://svn.beryl-project.org/beryl/trunk beryl/This will download the whole package. then cd to beryl folder, run ./makeall

wait and read the outputs, sometimes you have to go into the sub-folder and ./configure to see what is going on in there. then run ./make will make and install/upgrade beryl to 0.15svn. I must say even it's a svn it's much stable than 0.14.
only one reminder, make sure Advanced beryl options --> Rendering path is Texture from Pixmap, otherwise it will pretty much give you a white-screen, maybe it's only because of my ATI-suckass-card....
3D-windows + cube + snow + jello windows FTW!!!
....ok i know sometimes snow is bored.......just for showing off : )
